Sinclair C. Preston

Sinclair C. Preston (88) died peacefully at home on March 21, 2016 in the company of his loving wife of 17 years, Betsy Plank Preston. Mr. Preston was a graduate of Bristol Virginia High School, Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI), and Rochester Institute of Technology. Preston was a life-long printer who became the owner and president of Preston Printing Company. He was an airplane pilot and sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed hunting and spending time at his hunting lodge on Iron Mountain. A member of Waverly Road Presbyterian Church, he leaves behind many friends who will miss his sense of humor and quick wit.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Helen Iverson and F. Blair Preston of Bristol; and his children's mother, Barbara Simpson Preston.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy Plank Preston, son, Sinclair C. (Chuck) Preston, Jr.; daughter, Corinne Preston Corning; sister, Sandra Vaughn; and brother, Blair Preston of Woodstock, Georgia.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 24th at Waverly Road Presbyterian Church with Dr. Angus Shaw officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of their choice.
