Skiler James Light "Lite Bite", 24 of Kingsport, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 of injuries sustained in an automotive accident. He was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong resident. Skiler graduated from Sullivan High School and was an electrician. He played basketball and football and enjoyed working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Fronie Light.
Skiler is survived by his wife, Motiese Light; 2 sons, Aaron James Lee Light and Brighton Emmett Light; 2 daughters, Caylee Grace Light and MacKenzie Nicole Light; mother, Mary Absher; father, James Willie Light; 2 brothers, Jonathan Lynn Light and Jonathan Thompson; 2 sisters, Lisa Nicole Light and Brooke Begley; step-sister, Nakisha Lane; uncle, Robert Harlen Light; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church.
