Donald S. Solt, 83, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Wexford House.
He was born in Weisport, PA, and graduated from Milton Hershey School in 1948. Donald served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed with Kingsport Press/Arcata Graphics for 43 years in various manufacturing and sales managerial positions in Kingsport, Massachusetts and New York City.
Donald had a lifelong love of fishing and his sons and friends will have cherished memories of countless fishing trips throughout the eastern United States.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lucy Kunkle Solt; sister, June Solt; brothers, Willard Solt and Bryon Solt.
He is survived by his sons: Donald R. Solt and wife, Jennifer, of Church Hill, James Solt and wife, Kathy, of Piney Flats; step-daughter, Rena Solt-Greene, of Chattanooga; brother, Keith Solt, of Knoxville; sisters, Phyllis Hammell, of Whitehall, PA and Lucille Bisbing, of Easton, PA; grandchildren, Casey, Nick, Lacey, Brandi and Jordyn.
