Sonny Brookman

Sonny Brookman, 53, of Church Hill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 with the love of his life and his loving family by his side. Sonny loved being outside, taking pictures, going on crazy drives at all hours of the night, spending time in Cade’s Cove, hiking Table Rock, and in his word, “annoying my beautiful wife.”  Most of all he loved driving his Mustang, which he named “Grace”.

He was preceded in death by his foster dad, William Dishner.

Sonny is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Charlotte Brookman; foster mom, Elizabeth Dishner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Peggy Ramey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Lesia Ramey; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
