Stanley Winston Still

Stanley W. Still, CPA, 77, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side Friday, July 26, 2013. Stanley was born March 17, 1936 and he lived most of his life in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Stanley was a loving husband, caring father and dedicated professional. A graduate of East Tennessee State University, he was a partner with Dent K. Burk CPA's and had his own CPA practice for many years.

Stanley was active in his community. He was a lifelong member of Civitan Club and a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church. Stanley loved the beach, sports, and spending time with his friends and family.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Maria Combs Still. He raised three daughters, Janet Still of San Diego, CA, Laura Still of Knoxville, TN, and Julie McMurry of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He has six grandsons and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.

A special thank you to his sister-in-law, Betsy Hardin, for her loving care during his illness.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
