Stella Francis Mays Easley, 84, Kingsport, passed away at her home on Friday, September 30th after a long illness. She was born in Russell County, Virginia July 11, 1927 and graduated from Temple Hill High School, class of 1945. Stella worked several years at Tennessee Eastman in Kingsport. Mrs. Easley attended and was a lifetime member of Depew's Chapel Methodist Church.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Arlen Easley, Jr.; parents, William and Effie Burke Mays; two sisters, Bertha Mays Robinson and Ethel Mays Salyer of Castlewood, Virginia; brother Curtis Mays of Nickelsville, Virginia.
She is survived by her sons, Arlen Easley III and wife Vickie, Larry Easley and wife Orlinda; granddaughter, Lauren Easley; step granddaughter Stephanie Baker and husband Derek; step great-granddaughter Micayla; step grandson, Jake Stamper and wife Rebecca; step great-grandson, Recer, all of Kingsport; sister Ruth Kiser and husband Kyle of Castlewood, Virginia; eight wonderful nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2011 between 6-8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport and at any time at the home. Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Depew's Chapel Methodist Church, Pastor Nathan Ware officiating.
Graveside services will follow. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
