Stella M. Herron-Kelly, a loving mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all, entered into the kingdom of heaven on Wednesday, December 24th, 2008
She was born on May 3, 1926 and was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. She attended Temple Baptist Church. She was an avid antique collector, renowned dealer, appraiser and owner of Country Square Antiques. She also made lifelong friends during her more than 40 years as a sewing machine operator at the Kingsport Press.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Cecil Herron and second husband Oley Kelly; parents Clint and Clarice Winegar; sister Ruby Dickens; son, Denver Herron; grandson, Greg Tolliver; granddaughter, Jeri Roberts; and great grandson, Derek Christian.
Survivors include her daughter Lucille Roberts; beloved and caring grandson Mark Tolliver and wife Lisa; other grandsons Jeremy Roberts, Jason Roberts and Connor Herron; granddaughters Denise Herron, Terri Christian; great granddaughters Christina Eads, Evelyn, Samantha and Angel Roberts; great-great granddaughter Chloe Eads; brother Jim Winegar and wife Wanda; half-brother Hubert Earl Hudson; several nieces and nephews; and very special friends Robert and Nell Derry.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 28th at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The service will begin at 2:30 p.m. and burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Following the burial service, friends and family are invited to gather at her home. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
