Steve Stewart, 65, Kingsport, TN, died Saturday, December 6, 2014.
He was born in Kingsport on February 22, 1949. Steve lived in Kingsport growing up. He moved to San Francisco for a time, Placerville and Coloma, California and Lake Tahoe, California.
Before moving back to Kingsport in June of this year, he had lived for several years in Livingston, Montana. He loved the outdoors and nature. He shared his love of hiking and mountain climbing with his children in and around Lake Tahoe. He hiked Mt. Whitney, Freel's Peak, Mt. Talac and Pyramid Peak while living in that area. He also loved photography. He worked as a photographer in pet photography lastly in Montana. He enjoyed his job with all his heart as he loved animals and had a great appreciation for pets and all that they could bring to our lives. While he loved different aspects of all the areas of the country that he lived in, majestic mountains, beautiful lakes, he always talked about missing the "wonderful summer night sounds of East Tennessee". His very, very special companion, Kaida Poo "Poo" was always at his side.
His mother, Marian Stewart and father, Fred Stewart, Jr. preceded him in death.
Surviving are his son, Joshua Stewart and fiancée Sandra Cid of Tulancingo Hidalgo, Mexico; daughter, Chyela Rowe and husband David of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Avalon Rowe, Oliver Rowe, Jonah Rowe, Pippin Rowe, and Sebastian Stewart; sister, Marisa Marshall; aunts, Jewell Bellamy and Vaudine Anderson; very special Companion Kaida Poo "Poo" whom he lovingly referred to as "The Love of My Life" and who loved him with all of her's... and always will.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
