Steve Hurd

Steve Hurd, 53, of Kingsport, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Steve was a Kingsport native and was a 1977 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. He served 4 years in the US Navy and was stationed out of Norfolk, VA. Steve was also a graduate of ETSU. He was a teacher at Dobyns-Bennett High School where he taught Local and Regional History.He is survived by his son, Andrew Wesley Hurd and Andrew's mother, Sharon Hurd; sister, Ruth Hurd Lawson; and niece, Laura Mounger.In honoring Steve's wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no formal funeral services.
