Steve Warren Morelock

Steve Warren Morelock passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, after several months of declining health. Steve, born April 2, 1944, was the youngest child of Margie and H.W. Morelock. He was employed at Mead Paper/Willamette until 1999. Thereafter, he returned to the Beech Creek Community where he lived out the remainder of his life. Steve was an adventurous spirit. He enjoyed traveling, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and skydiving. He was especially fond of animals and was always the first to care for creatures in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, W.C., B. Glenn, Melvin, and Clyde Morelock; as well as sisters, Lucille Morelock and Ola Crawford.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Sandra Y. Morelock, MD of Asheville, NC; sister, Mrs. J.J. Blankenbeckler; as well as nieces and nephews.

As per Steve’s request, no formal memorial service will take place. For those wishing to celebrate his life, donation to one’s local animal shelter/humane society, or charity of choice is suggested.
