Steven Ward

Steven Fred Ward, 55, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2015.

He worked for SBK animal shelter. He was a very talented guitar player and loved to pick and make music. He loved horses and loved to ride.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Fred Ward.

Steve is survived by his son, Steve Ward and wife Becky, and his daughters, Gracie Ward and Sarah White; grandchildren, Steven K. Ward, Alyssa Ward, Hunter Ward, and Chandler White; sister, Linda Ward Catron and husband Jeff; nephew, Michael Catron; mother of his children, Patricia Ward; very special friend, David Smith, David "Boozie" Hensley, Kenny Dove; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow with Preacher Lawrence Wolfe officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Depew's Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Animal Shelter, 2141 Idle Hour Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.

Pallbearers will be Steven K. Ward, Michael Catron, Gabriel Ward, Travis Ward, Jimmy Stevens and Gerald Trent. Honorary pallbearer will be David Smith.
