Steven A. Wright

Steven A. Wright, 56, of Kingsport, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Steven worked in wireless telecommunications and on computers. He was a member of the ALS Support Group of Upper East TN and was an active member of West Colonial Hills Baptist Church. He was known as Trucker Steve to the young people at church and was very active with the youth. Steven was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wright and Nina Wright, and sister, Rhonda.

Steven is survived by his wife, Cassandra Wright; daughter, Holly McCallen and husband, Eric of Memphis; son, Steven Lee Wright of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren, Bradley and Cayden; sisters, Betty Young and Donna Bateman both of Bridgeport, AL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Wes Rankin officiating.

Military Graveside services will be Monday 10:00 am at Mountain Home National Cemetery with American Legion Posts 3/265 officiating. Pallbearers will be the Youth of West Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
