Sue Cornett, age 81, of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly Tuesday February 5, 2013 surrounded by her family at her residence.
Born in Appalachia, VA on November 2, 1931, she has resided in this area since 1947.
Sue was a 1952 graduate of Sullivan High School and retired from Eastman Kodak in 1987 following 34 years of service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dan and Shirley Stamper for their love and caring friendship.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Martha Davidson Shupe, two aunts, Nancy Peters and Glessie Grimes; two uncles, Thomas Davidson, Jr. and Lester Davidson.
Survivors include one sister, Ann Frazier and husband Larry of Weber City; devoted aunt, Helen Neilsen and husband John of Satelite Beach, Florida; special niece, Michele Greenwell of Weber City; special grand niece, Hannah Greenwell of Weber City; and many cousins.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted at 4:00 p. m. Sunday February 10, 2013 in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Rev. Don Hanshew officiating.
Interment will be private at East Lawn Memorial Park.
