Sue S. Hobbs

Sue S. Hobbs, 90, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 14, 2022. Born in Knoxville, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Inez Swaggerty. She resided most of her life in Kingsport. Sue was married for 55 years to the late Gordon Hobbs, Jr. She was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church. Sue retired from Kingsport Family Practice Center in 1993. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom, Mimi and friend to many. Sue loved flower gardening, crafting and was an avid book reader.

Sue is survived by her son, Jeff Hobbs and wife Lora; her daughter, Vicki Crowdus and husband Brinn; three grandchildren, Aaron Douglas, Zackary Hobbs and Lyra Hobbs; two step-grandchildren, Haley Deel and husband Hunter and Jordan Coats; five great-grandchildren, William, Jacob, Jaclyn, Willow and Norah. She was also blessed to have an angel at her side for the last two years of her life, Sharon Hopkins was her faithful and loving caregiver. 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.  Family members will serve as pallbearers.
