Swane "Doug" Shelton

Swane “Doug” Shelton, 79, of Kingsport, passed away, Thursday, April 4, 2024, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born December 6, 1944, and was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Doug loved his pets and loved the outdoors. His laughter brought joy to many. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory include his special brother, Audie Shelton; special friends, Betty “Hoppy” Counts and Randy and Nicole Wilkerson.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024,from 5:00-7:00pm at Bethel United Baptist Church 431 Hilton Hill Rd. Kingsport, TN 37663. The service will be officiated by Pastor Mike Robinson with music provided by special singer, John Brown.

His family and friends would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Smoky Mountain Hospice for their care and compassion.
