Sybil Burt Still, 94, Kingsport, TN, formerly of Marietta, GA went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 3, 2007.
She was born and raised in Crawford, GA, where she attended the University of Georgia and majored in home economics. Mrs. Still was a member of Crawford Methodist Church, Crawford, GA, then West End Baptist Church, Atlanta, GA, and moved her membership to King Spring Baptist Church, Smyrna, GA and later to Colonial Heights United Methodist Church.
Her husband, John F Still, nine sisters, and one brother preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Smith and husband Phil, Blountville, TN; and Sybil Williams, Kingsport, TN; three grandchildren, Sam Williams and wife Michelle, Los Angeles, CA; Sybil Strom and husband Joshua, Blountville, TN; and John Smith, Bloomington, IN; one great-grandson, Jackson Oscar Williams, Los Angeles, CA; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 12-2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Smith and Rev. Regina Shelton officiating.
Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
