Sylvia Karen Donihue Arnold
Sylvia Karen Donihue Arnold, 54, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 18, 2010, following a courageous battle with cancer. She is now in God's arms in heaven. He will take care of her as she took care of all of us on earth.
Karen was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Kingsport. She worked for several years for EZ Painter Manufacturing.
She was a great believer in God and all His mercies. She was a loving and devoted wife, wonderful mother, the world's greatest grandmother, and the best sister in the world. She was a friend to everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by an infant child, Patrick; her mother, Mary Mead; and father, J. L. Donihue.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; son, Josh and wife, Crystal; grandson, Devin, who was the love and light of her life; stepfather, Jim Mead; sisters, Marcia Ketron and husband, Larry, Charlotte Johnson and husband, Gary, Teresia Hammonds and husband, Wayne; brother, Steve Donihue and wife, Betty; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece, Angie Ketron; and very special friends, Tonya, Linda, Teresa, and Mallory.
At Karen's request, a private ceremony for family will be held at a later date following cremation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, c/o Charlotte Johnson, P. O. Box 27, Kingsport, TN 37662.
