T. Leon Munroe

T. Leon Munroe?s spirit left his body early in the morning on December 2 2006 at 12:26 a.m. at Johnson City Medical Center. His daughter Suzanne was by his side and his passing was a peaceful one.

Leon was known for his many accomplishments and inventions during his 40 year career designing and manufacturing automated controls for the concrete industry.

Though he traveled the world in his occupation, Leon often said he loved his home on Boone Lake better than anywhere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Imogene C. Munroe; one daughter, Suzanne Holley and husband, Lew; one sister, Evelyn DeVoe; special sister-in-law, Betty Munroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday December 4, 2006 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 603 Sunset Drive, Johnson City, with Cheryl Rice as the celebrant of the service.

The family will visit with friends and family following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Tri-Cities Affiliate, P. O. Box 5835, Kingsport, TN 37663.
