Tab Crawford

Tab Edward Crawford went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at his home.

He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, and attended Sullivan Baptist Church. He graduated from Sullivan West High School in 1976 and UT in 1980.

He was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother. Tab was employed at Eastman Chemical Company for 24 years. Some of his hobbies were riding bikes with his son, fishing, and spending time with his family,

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Opal Crawford, and paternal grandparents, Oscar and Martha Crawford; his father, Garnie Crawford in 2009; and his father-in-law, William R. Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Brooks Crawford; a son, Elijah Crawford; his mother, Iva Crawford; a sister, Angela Littleton and husband, Robert; three nieces, Rachel Littleton, Rebekah Littleton, and Peyton Brooks; 2 nephews Tristan Brooks and Quinn Brooks; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Brooks; brother-in-law, Zan Brooks; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted in the chapel at 8 p.m., with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Dave Campbell, Allen Morelock, Robert Littleton, Zan Brooks, Donnie Littleton, Gary Littleton, Wayne Littleton, and Mark Steadman will serve as pallbearers.
