Tammy Jo "Sam" Rogan Johnson, 47, of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Tammy loved her family and being outdoors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Henry Ray Johnson; mother Kathleen Collins; father Odell Rogan; step father Bee Collins; and brother Jeffrey Collins.
Survivors include her son Michael Johnson of Ft. Blackmore; grandson Jeffrey Johnson; two sisters Vickie Rogan Morris and husband, Greg of Bristol, VA, Rosetta Rogan Rhoten and husband, David of Surgoinsvillep; four brothers, Donnie Rogan and wife, Tina of Kingsport, Gerald Rogan of Kingsport, James Collins and girlfriend, Lucretia of Kingsport, Bobby Collins and girlfriend, Sarah of Kingsport; very, very special companion Allen Moretz; very special cousin Renha Welch; very special pet, Sissy Jo Johnson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and other close Johnson family members.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will begin at 8 pm with Rev. Roy Brickey officiating. Burial will be at 11 am Thursday at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
