Teresa Gail Cole, 48, of Kingsport died Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2009, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an apparent heart attack.
She was born in Kingsport where she had resided all her life. Teresa was a 1978 graduate of Sullivan Central High School and received her Associates Degree from East Tennessee State University. She was a licensed insurance agent for the last 8-10 years and had been formerly employed with Nash and Powers Insurance Company in Bristol. Teresa was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Holly and Orpha Thompson and Sam and Pearl Cox.
Surviving are her husband, John Cole of Kingsport; a daughter, Jessica Taylor of Kingsport; two stepchildren, Andrew and Katie Cole of Kingsport; her parents, Clark and Maxie Cox of Kingsport; one brother, Roger Cox and wife Sandy of Kingsport; and nieces and nephews, Whitney Cox, Ben and Samuel Gilliam, and Joel, Anna, and Ethan Bishop.
The family will receive friends any time at the home of the parents and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
