Teresa L. Stemac

Teresa L. Stemac, 67, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Jonesboro, AR on February 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Jack and Dorothy Bauer Lands, she had resided in this area since 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Lands, III.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul Stemac; 2 daughters, Laura Tunstall and husband, Daniel of Pearland, TX, and Rebecca Nelson and husband, Dustin of Kingsport; 6 grandchildren, Diana, Carlie, Jessica, Dylan, Oliver and Felix; brother, Russell Lands and wife, Melissa of Paragould, AR; sister, Jennifer Elder and husband, Chris of Lancaster, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses in the CCU at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Dr. Greg Burton and Father Michael Cummins officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those attending the committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 9:00 am and then proceed to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Noe, Larry Nelson, Dustin Nelson, Daniel Tunstall, Jonathan Fields, and Tobias Albrecht, III.
