Terry Van Reynolds, 56, of Kingsport, TN, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a period of declining health. Born in Sullivan County on March 19, 1963, a son of Ella Tate Reynolds of Kingsport and the late Douglas Wayne Reynolds, he had resided in this area his entire life. He was a former carpenter and mechanic.
He will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, dad, pappy, brother and friend who loved to work on cars, and to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Mickey Wayne Reynolds and Jessie Travis Reynolds.
Terry is survived by daughter, Caitlin Reynolds and husband, Joseph Hurd; son, Bradley Reynolds; mother, Ella Tate Reynolds; brothers, Brian Reynolds and Jamey Reynolds; sisters, Darlene Selvage and husband, Jeff, Michelle Reynolds and husband, Craig, and Lisa Reynolds; grandchildren, Carson Hurd, Chelsea Reynolds and Elijah Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
