Terry Ruth (Smith) Rickman

Terry Ruth (Smith) Rickman 52, passed away Friday afternoon, April 8th while at Barnes Jewish Hospital receiving treatment for her Congestive Heart Failure. Terry was born August 24th, 1963 in Kingsport, TN, to Mary (Smith) Wagner and the late Dean Smith. She graduated from Sullivan North with the class of 1981. Terry enjoyed time with her husband, two daughters and her grandson. She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord.

Terry was united in marriage and had her late son, Joshua Smith and her daughter, Tiffany (Smith) Tallent. Terry later married Larry Rickman of Purdy, MO, in December of 1997 and had Hannah Grace in September of 2007. Larry and Terry shared 19 years together before her passing.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Joshua Smith; step-daughter, Julie Rickman; father, Dean Smith; grandfather, William "Bill" Caldwell; and brother, Ronnie Smith.

Terry is survived by her husband, Larry Rickman of Purdy, MO; her two daughters, Hannah Grace Rickman of Purdy, MO, and Tiffany Tallent and husband, Johnathan of Monett; step-daughters, Harmony Fritz of Friestatt, MO, Lindsay Dunfee of Marshall, MO, and Katelyn Rickman of St. Louis, MO; one grandson, Joshua M. Tallent of Monett, MO, and multiple step-grandchildren; parents, Connie and Mary Wagner of Kingsport TN; brothers, William Smith of Kingsport, TN, and Robert Wagner of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Gabe Wagner and niece, Hayden Wagner of Knoxville, TN; and her grandmother, Dorthy Caldwell-Bass of Kingsport, TN.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, at Kingsport First Assembly of God in Kingsport, TN. The service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Paul Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN.
