The Rev. Elmer Clarence Littleton

The Rev. Elmer Clarence Littleton, 63, of Greeneville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Washington County, TN on February 24, 1951, a son of the late Rev. Arnie and Roberta Littleton, he had resided in this area most of his life. Rev. Littleton pastored numerous churches in this area. He was a retired concrete tech having worked on numerous projects in the area.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Patel and staff and Amedisys Hospice Care.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Elmer Littleton, Jr., and sister, Debbie Bowser.

Elmer is survived by his son, Scotty Littleton and wife, April; grandsons, Bobby Gross, Jr. and Elisha Littleton, all of the home, and Howard Hensdill of Gray, TN; sisters, Bonnie Perian of Athens, TN, Maxie Poore and husband, Jack, and Romaine Williams, all of Washington County; brothers, Rev. Homer Holland, Bud Holland, and Richard Holland, all of Washington, County; a host of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and a very special friend, Fred Watkins.

The family will receive friends on Friday (April 25, 2014) from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Sid Barkley and Fred Watkins officiating. Special music will be provided by Straight and Narrow and the Saults Family.
