Thelma "Poodle" Fletcher, 52, of Kingsport passed away Tuesday, June 10, 208 at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.
Her mother, Christine King; and two sisters, Barbara King and Margaret Blakely, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her fiancé, Chris Bays of Kingsport; one daughter, April Quillen and husband Richard of Kingsport; one son, Clayton Fletcher of Kingsport; one grandson, Shadrick Fletcher; her father, Birgus King of Kingsport; one sister, Naomi Duncan of Mount Carmel; three brothers, Luke King and wife Cathy of Kingsport, Billy King and wife Ann of Kingsport, Wayne King of Kingsport; a special nephew, Alvin Blakely of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
