Thelma M. Parker, 89, of Kingsport, died Monday morning, April 6, 2015, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Kingsport, she had resided in Hiltons, VA and Kingsport. She retired from First American Bank after 41 years of service. Thelma was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Emma Parker, two sisters, Erma Good and Inez Irvin, and brother, Merle Parker.
Thelma is survived by two sisters, Mavis Parker Moore and Anita Parker Ferrell, both of Kingsport, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7:00 pm at First Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Phillip Sams, Minister, and Rev. Paul Helphinstine officiating.
The graveside service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 am at Holston View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family members.
