Theresa Hope Seal Modrell
Theresa Hope Seal Modrell, beloved mother, sister, friend and teacher passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012, surrounded by her family.
She was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and an elementary school teacher for 36 years in numerous school districts around the world. Hope will be remembered for her kindness, humor and dependability.
Hope is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Michael J. Modrell, her father, Creed Davis Seal and her mother, Ollie Elmer Seal, and two brothers, Elmer Bud Seal and Larry Seal.
She is survived by her son, Thomas J. Modrell and wife, Marie, of Plymouth, MI, daughter, Jennifer J. Modrell of Denver, CO, sister, O. Jean Seal of Kingsport, TN, and sister-in-law, Joyce D. Francis of Jonesborough, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 14th at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport, TN.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 15th at 11:00 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Kingsport, TN with Rev. Michael Nolan officiating.
Burial will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens, Johnson City, TN.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation www.parkinson.org/match.
