Theresa Catherine Rose

Theresa Catherine Rose, 76, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She worked at J.C. Penney's for nearly 50 years, having started in the old location in downtown Kingsport. Theresa had an insatiable love for shoes but had an equally great love for her co-workers at Penney's.

She loved her children and adored her grandchildren who lovingly called her "Nina" and "Grama T." Theresa attended Victory Baptist Church.

Theresa was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth McGuinn, second husband, John Rose and fiancé, Noah Jackson.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Miller and husband, Jerry , and Melinda Cassell and husband, Mark, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Jordan Cassell, Dani Miller and Johnna Cassell; sister, Elaine Lingerfelt of Bluff City; brother, Louis Milani and wife Nancy, of Luray, VA; nephew, Keith Milani; niece, Alicia Stephens and husband, Ben; one great-niece, one great nephew; and special cousin, Ann "Snookie" Messick.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1st from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport and at anytime at the home of her daughter, Melinda. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Larry Morelock and Rev. J.W. Depew officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 2nd at 10:00 am at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
