Thomas Cressell

Thomas ?T.J.? Cressell, 82, went home to be with the Lord, March 1, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at Greystone Health Care.

?T.J.?, as he was known to his friends and family was born in Sullivan County, where he lived his entire life. He was a member of Gunnings Baptist Church and was president of Gunnings Cemetery Association for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Facett Industries of Bristol Virginia where he was a press setup man. T.J. was also a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nora Cressell.

Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth; sons, Joe and wife Holly, Gary and wife Sherry; three grandchildren, Brandon, Mark and Abigail.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Gunnings Baptist Church. Services will be conducted Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bob Ferguson officiating.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Gunnings Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery.
