Thomas Edward Hammonds

Thomas Edward Hammonds, 66, of Kingsport, died early Thursday morning, February 17, 2011 at his home following an extended illness.

Tom was born in Kingsport where he had resided for most of his life. He served in the US Army from 1963-1966 in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Barbara Hammonds and brother Ronnie Hammonds.

Survivors include daughters, Donna St. Pierre of FL, Kathy Richardson of CO; son Brian Hammonds of CO; grandchildren: Anthony "A.J." Parsons
Trey, Tyler and Tanner St. Pierre
Brianna Fales, Colt and Aaron Richardson; sisters, Margaret Greer, Betty Gillis both of Kingsport, Mary Graham of Nashville and Linda Rutter of Blountville; brothers, Wayne, Kenneth and Sherill Larkins all of Kingsport, James Larkins of KY.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will begin at 7 pm with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00pm Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post # 4939. Serving as pallbearers will be Grant Gillis, Jared Williams, Pat Shanks, and Jason Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be Bart Gillis and Chris Graham.
