Thomas Wayne Bowery

Thomas Wayne Bowery, 76, Blountville, TN , passed away early Thursday morning, January 7, 2016, at Life Care Center of Gray, TN. For 37 ½ years he was an employee of the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services. He also pastored at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Lebanon, VA for 7 ½ years.

The family would like to thank Life Care Center of Gray and Caris Hospice Healthcare of Gray for their exceptional care and compassion.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Linda E. Bowery; daughters, Ruth Bowery Tucker and husband, Randy, and Amy Bowery Adkins and husband, Tracy; grandchildren, Michaela Glenn, Haley Glenn, Matthew Tucker, Noelia Adkins and Isabella Adkins; sister, Phyllis Bowery Tuck and husband, Robert; sister-in-law, Annie Edwards; niece, Lisa Tuck; and nephew, Nathan Tuck.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 - 3:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Dr. Clay Austin officiating.
