Timothy Wayne Cassidy

Timothy Wayne Cassidy, 51, of Kingsport, after a long illness, left this world to begin his new life with God on Sunday morning, August 29, 2010 at Bristol Hospice House.

He was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Dobyns Bennett in the class of 1978. He was a former Employee of A&L and later, Brock Limited as an insulation supervisor for the fab-shop at Eastman. Timothy was a member of Community United Methodist Church. He was affectionately known as "Bubba" and had many friends, but his foremost loves were his family and grandchildren. Timothy loved to fish and spent a lot of time restoring muscle cars. His pride and joy was a 1969 Dodge Cornette. He was a loyal and trustworthy friend who will be missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Eva Cassidy; two sisters, Mary Ann Cassidy and Audrey Gilliam; brother, Clyde Cassidy; and granddaughter, Hope Anderson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Cassidy of Kingsport; two daughters, Alicia Cassidy and husband Dante of Kingsport, Victoria Cassidy and husband Billy Gue of Kingsport; step daughter, Heather Bledsoe and husband Chris of North Carolina; son, Tim Cassidy and wife Nikki of Kingsport; step-son, John Anderson; 12 grandchildren; the mother of his children, Vickie Seigler of Kingsport; sister, Sheila Ferguson of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Kilbourne officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be his Fab-Shop crew and David Smith, Cecil Hawkins and Donnie Fields.
