Tobie J. Ferguson

Tobie J. Ferguson of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She attended Harmony Baptist Church her entire life. She was church pianist for many years and enjoyed mission work and mission trips to other countries.

Tobie was preceded in death by her parents, Niles and Ruby Wheelock and one brother, Ronnie Joe Wheelock.

She leaves behind the love of her life, best and closest friend, her husband of 62 years, Allen; three sons, Joey and wife, Sandy of Pawley's Island, SC, Jamey and wife, Glenda of Kingsport, and Macky and wife, Luanne of Johnson City; brother, Bo Wheelock and wife, Vanessa of Jonesborough; nieces, Traci Pate and Nikki Witt; grandchildren, Matthew Ferguson and wife, Marie of Franklin, TN, Niles Ferguson and wife, Maria of Ft. Mill, SC; and Liza Bernethy and husband, Patrick of Bristol, TN; and ten great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Harmony Baptist Church in Jonesborough on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 5:00 pm. All friends of Tobie are welcome to attend. The family will not receive friends prior to the service, but would be honored to greet them afterwards.

Tobie requests no flowers. Gifts may be made to the Easter Special Offering for Home Missions and the Christmas Foreign Missions Offering at Harmony Baptist Church, 1162 Harmony Rd., Jonesborough, TN 37659.
