Tom Bailey

Thomas Gordon Bailey, 73, Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Wexford House. He worked as an accountant for Duke University in their athletic scholarship department and later worked for Parks Belk. He then worked at White's Menswear until he retired. Tom loved to travel and was an avid reader. He was a huge Duke basketball fan. Tom was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nita Bailey, and his very best friend of 40+ years, Don Kinsler.

Tom is survived by his brother, Dan Bailey and wife, Carla; 3 nephews; 1 niece; and a special honorary nephew and niece.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Carroll Kirby officiating. Entombment will follow in the Oak Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
