Tonga Witt

Tonga Marie Hammonds Witt, 35, of Texas passed away Monday, September 24, 2007.

She was born in Kingsport where she had resided most of her life. Tonga was a member of West View Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Tom and Cleda Stokes; father, Ronnie Hammonds; and stepfather, Ray Head.

Surviving are one daughter, LeeAnn Witt; two sons, Dillion Hammonds and Dakota Hammonds; her mother, Debbie Head; one sister, Renae Johnson and husband, J.J.; one niece, Malayna Johnson; three nephews, Caleb Johnson, Jason Johnson, and Matt Johnson; several aunts; one uncle; and several cousins.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Stout and Rev. Jerry Fleenor officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Thacker Family Cemetery in Church Hill.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Stokes, David Stokes, Dustin Miller, Jamie Donihue, Jason Johnson, and Matt Johnson.
