Tracy Burton

Tracy Burton, 66, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Tracy was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, and a 1976 graduate of Lynn View High School. He was a member of Indian Springs Christian Church. Tracy owned and operated Preferred Insurance Solutions, having been in the insurance business since 1981. He loved people, sharing stories, and giving people gifts. Tracy was happiest being with his family, near a body of water, and watching sports.

Tracy was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Garland and Barbara Burton; and father-in-law, William Hughes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Cindy Burton; two daughters, Lindsey Phillips and husband, Daniel, and Mallory Burton; son, Ryan Burton and wife, Sarah; four grandchildren, Greyson, Maddie, Leo and Nolan; mother-in-law, Charlotte Hughes; brother-in-law, Eddie Hughes and wife, Karen; niece, McKenzie Miller and husband, Matt.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mike Beverly, minister officiating.
