Travis John Tyson

On Friday, December 9, 2022, Travis John Tyson, of Kingsport, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He was 35 years old.  Born to Corcoran and Dawn Tyson in June of 1987. 

Travis graduated from ECU, majoring in economics and went on to work at Citibank.  At his job, he met his wife Kayla and they have been married four years. 

Travis was active in taking care of his family and the family home, racing, and hiking in the woods with his beloved dog, Gunther. 

Travis is survived by his wife, Kayla Tyson of Kingsport, TN; mother-in-law, Regina Morelock; brother-in-law, Ethan Morelock (Laura); nephew, Raylan; niece, Abby; grandparents-in-law, Roy and Bonnie Cox of Kingsport, TN; parents, Corcoran D. and Dawn A. Tyson of Boones Mill, VA; sister, Natalie of the home; grandmother, Anne Nell Andrews of Rome, PA; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.  The funeral service will follow with Pastor Dan Dolen officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Morrison Cemetery.  

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
