Trudy Carol Rose Byron

Trudy’s family is heavy hearted to announce her peaceful passing at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Eugene Rose; mother, Grace Riggs Rose; sisters, Evelyn, Gay and Anna. Sadly, she was also preceded in death by her loving daughter Dawn Hale Norwood and her two devoted husbands, John Hale in 1997 and Wayne Byron in 2016.

Trudy is survived by her step-daughter and her husband, Zina & Chris Hale; sister in law Mary Knapp; nieces and their families: Kim Perry, Pamela Simmons, Robyn Barnes, Karen Wilson, Alice Cagle; nephews Chris Barnes, Donnie Knapp, Richard Knapp, and a host of other family members. Many loyal and loving friends, including Judy Kelley, also survive Trudy.

Trudy lived life to the fullest and was most happy spending time with her family and friends whether it was at the lake, on a cruise, traveling, playing with her dog Sophie or simply having a glass of wine. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to sincerely thank caregivers Margaret Boggs, Tandra Smith, Tia Lawson and Mattie Stapleton for their tireless devotion to Trudy’s care in the past year.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at Hamlett-Dobson in Kingsport, Tennessee. Burial will be private.
