Trula E. Bingham

Trula E. Bingham, 87, of Kingsport, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Community Care of Rutherford County in Murfreesboro, TN after an extended illness.  Trula was born in Kingsport, TN on June 23, 1932 in Kingsport, TN and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1949. She married Kenneth Allen Bingham on May 1, 1951.  Trula enjoyed gardening, playing golf and tennis at Ridgefield's Country Club, spending summers on Boone Lake, family vacations on Fripp Island and interior design.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ridgefield’s Garden Club and Bridge Club.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Bingham Kinkead of Kingsport; mother, Alpha Lynn Maness of Kingsport, and father, George Maness of Orlando, FL.

Trula is survived by her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Allen Bingham; daughter, Sandy Foster of Brentwood, TN; son, Tommy Bingham (Irma) of Nashville, TN; daughter, Julie Taylor (Tim) of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Jenny Rivers (Wes) of Boulder, CO, Spencer Cole of Bluffton, SC, Tommy McDougal (Kristi) of Nashville, TN, John McDougal of Nashville, TN, Matt McDougal of Los Angeles, CA, Emily Bingham of Nashville, TN, Chase Treadway (Amy) of Minneapolis, MN, Elizabeth Treadway of Nashville, TN, April Taylor of Nashville, TN, and Jonathan Taylor (Tiffany) of Jackson, TN; great-grandchildren, Baker, Madeline, Peyton and Ella McDougal of Nashville, TN, and Madison and Isabella of Boulder, CO; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and host of long-time friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
