Trula Bowser Bingham, 76, Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following complications from heart surgery.
Born in Gray, TN, Trula had resided most of her life in Kingsport. She had been a member of Preston Hills Presbyterian Church for 36 years.
Trula was an avid GMC Motor Home enthusiast traveling throughout North America with her husband, Ray. They were active members of multiple GMC Chapters, such as Dixielanders, Eastern States, Tidewater Crabs, and GMC Motor Homes International, where Trula had served as Eastern area Vice President for four years.
She was a loving wife of 56 years, a devoted mother and grandmother and had a great love of sports and quilting.
Surviving are her husband, Ray W. Bingham, Kingsport; one daughter, Patti Satterfield and husband, Larry, Huntersville, NC; one son, Mike Bingham and wife, Diane, Norcross, GA; three grandsons, Brett Satterfield, Christopher Bingham and Blake Bingham; sister-in-law, Jo Ellis, Myrtle Beach, SC; one nephew, Steve Bingham and wife, Carol, Kingsport; and one niece, Julie Ellis-Behnke and husband, Rutledge, Boston, Massachusetts.
Entombment services will be private.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Preston Hills Presbyterian Church with Rev. Barron Hopper officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service.
