Valerie Lynn "Perkins" Reid

Valerie Lynn (Perkins) Reid, age 51 of Kingsport, TN passed away Dec. 9th 2022. “Val” was born in Richmond, Virginia and preceded in death by her parents, Pamela Kay Keener and Orville Orin Perkins Jr., her son Dakota Reid and brother Travis Perkins.

A loving mother and wife, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her wife of 13 yrs, Dora Davis, daughter Shahnaz Vellani and husband Isaac Walther. Brothers, Orin and Adam Perkins of Chesterfield, VA; Uncles and Aunts, Billy and Pam Keener of Chester, VA, Alice Weaver and Jojo Wallace of Chesterfield, VA, Elliott and Sandy Keener of Jetersville, VA, Mark and Debbie Moody of Kingsport, TN along with numerous nieces and nephews.  

Val lived in Kingsport, TN for the last 7 years providing care for many elderly. Prior to this, she lived in San Diego, CA. She was cremated in accordance with her wishes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17th 2022 at 12 pm Celebration Church, 429 Shipley Ferry Rd. Blountville, TN.
