Vella Baines

Vella Baines, 85, of Jonesborough, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018. Born in Sullivan County, she resided in Washington County most of her life. Mrs. Baines retired from Magnavox in 1995 after 43 years of service. She was a member of Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ in Elizabethton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Baines; seven brothers, Orlan, Jay, Frank, Jr., Basil, Newt, Bobby, Billy Guy Littleton; and two sisters, Nora Bacon and Gertrude Baines.

Mrs. Baines is survived by her two sons, Jerry Baines of Jonesborough and Larry Baines and wife Mary of Jonesborough; three grandchildren, Billy and Heather Baines, and Christina Miller; three great grandchildren, Taya, Willow, and Elizabeth; two brothers, Dee Littleton and wife Earldene of Jonesborough, and Gene Littleton and wife Helen of Jonesborough; and several very special nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Fairview Cemetery with Brother Donny Reagan officiating.
