Velma Hale Duncan

Velma Hale Duncan went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old and had been a resident of Fall Branch her entire life. She was the daughter of the late John Kincheloe and Amanda Lady Hale. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch for over 60 years.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Duncan, Sr.; son, Kenny Duncan, Jr.; her parents; and her sister, Jean Hale.

She is survived by two grandsons, Todd Duncan and wife, Kim, and Tim Duncan, both of Fall Branch. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Colby, and Courtney Duncan, and Jacob Smith, all of Fall Branch.

The family will receive friends at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home of Fall Branch from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday. They will receive friends at other times at Velma s residence in Fall Branch.

There will be a graveside service in the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating. Pallbearers will be Todd Duncan, Tim Duncan, Tommy Hale, W. C. Lady, John S. Duncan, and Jackie Burke.
