Velva Gapinske

Velva McClain Gapinske, 62, Kingsport, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.

Her parents, Kelly McClain Sr. and Viola McClain, brother, Kelly McClain Jr., and two nephews, Ernie Cole and Bucky Johnson preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Lora Cruz and husband William, Kingsport, TN; son, Melvin Gapinske Jr., Johnson City, TN; two grandchildren, Kathleen Cruz and Willie Cruz; two sisters, Judy McClain, Mt. Carmel, TN; and Nancy McClain, Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. J. W. Depew officiating.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gunnings Cemetery.
