Viola "Vi" Mottern
Viola "Vi" Mottern, 78, Kingsport, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Vi was a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Frank Hart, Sr.; mother Ida Melissa Hart; seven brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her loving husband, C. Jack Mottern; four sisters, Anna Bell Webb, Beulah Garrison, Louise Sheffield, all of Elizabethton, and Helen Allen of Asheville, NC; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses on the 3rd Floor SICU at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Kingsport, 2141 Idle Hour Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.
