Virginia Brewster Musick

Virginia Brewster Musick, 97, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in Excelsior, West Virginia, grew up in Berwind, West Virginia, and moved to Kingsport in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Ellis Musick; her parents, Milton and Pauline Brewster; two brothers, Clyde Brewster and Ralph Brewster; sister, Blanche Cooper; grandson, Paul Musick; and great-grandson, Jeff Nicksic.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Phyllis Breeding and husband, Tom; son, Ron Musick and wife, Jeanne of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Cindy Nicksic and husband, Brad, Tami Cortese and husband, Leonard, and Susan Castille and husband, Doug of Grayson, GA; great-grandchildren, Josh, Jamey, Justin, and Kaley Cortese, Philip Sanders of Jonesborough, Marissa and Jason Castille of Grayson, GA, and Bella Musick of Glasgow, KY; great-great-grandchildren, Dylan, Connor, Logan, Carson, Camden, Noah, Grayson, Kenley, Alyssa, Devon, and Madison; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Hackney officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
