Virginia Beard Davis
Virginia Beard Davis, 84, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Wilcox Hall of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Virginia was born and grew up in the Boones Creek area. She later moved to the Kingsport area and was a member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alva and Bula Beard; husband, James E. Davis; sister, Dorothy Denny; and brother, Harold Beard.
She is survived by her son, Jerry E. Davis and his fiancée, Lori Cook, of Kingsport; and two sisters, Carolyn Anderson and Marjorie Onks, both of Boones Creek.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. David Clark officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
