Virginia "Nana" Robinson

Virginia "Nana" Robinson, 83, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Church Hill Health Care and Rehab Center, following a period of declining health. Born in Church Hill on August 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Hugh and Flossie Adams Roberts, she has resided in this area most of her life. She graduated from Fall Branch High School. Nana will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mom, "Nana", sister, and friend who loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Village at Allendale.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Dean Robinson; sons, Doug Charlton and Danny Charlton; brothers, Elmer Roberts, Delmar Roberts, and Roy Roberts.
Survivors include two daughters in law, Susie Charlton of Mt. Carmel, TN and Debbie Charlton Houseright of Kingsport; two granddaughters, Christina Arnold and Clarissa Lane and husband Jonathan; five great grandchildren, Cody Bradley, Keylee Botkin, Noah Botkin, Andrew Bradley, and Cooper Lane; one soon to be born great-great grandson; sisters, Nell Pugh and husband Lew of Seattle, and Louise Cookenour and husband Don of Kingsport; sisters-in-law, Helen Roberts of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; cousin, Jan Mellons; special friend, Madeline Depew.
The family will honor Nana's request and there will be no formal visitation. Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908, or Ross Camp Ground United Methodist Church, c/o Janie Kincheloe, 107 Ivy Lane, Gray, TN 37615
