Virginia Pauline "Polly" Quillen

Virginia Pauline "Polly" Quillen, 83, Kingsport, TN, died Wednesday afternoon July 6, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness.

She was born in Nora, VA and resided most of her life in Kingsport, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Hubert Lee Quillen, a son, Hubert Elmo Quillen, brother, James I. Chase, sister, Marie Chase preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Laney and husband Harvey, Kingsport, TN; and Lois Moles, Kingsport, TN; two sons, Donald Quillen and wife Janie, and Michael Quillen, both of Kingsport, TN; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five sisters, Frances Ward, Kingsport, TN; Margaret Strickler; Kingsport, TN; Carrie Williams, Mt. Holly, NC; Zalia Crussel and husband Paul, Kingsport, TN; Winnie Holder, Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law, Lois Chase, many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Mack Turner officiating.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
